Went to Lowe's this morning & bought enough wood to build the 4 smaller shelves to flank the china hutch in the dining room. The shelf in the bedroom does not have one, but the shelves for the dining room will have a plate groove in them.

This is a brilliant idea---and I'm so glad you shared it with us. I need shelves and I think this just may be the thing I've been looking for. :)
